How Long Do You Leave Bandage On After Blood Draw

I'1000 such a wimp but does anyone who has a blood test know how long you should proceed the cast on and how to take information technology off without whatsoever pain or sting at all? Is in that location any run a risk of infection is in that location is an open there?

Thank you lot

I do the tests really often cause of my basketball tests and take it off after 3 minutes max. Nothing always happened to me.

You lot mean like a sticking plaster? I ever do it after like an hour.

Maxim that, I usually just get given a piece of cotton fiber...

Oh yeh, sorry, it is pretty much cotton wool with a sticky bit lol...cheers

I know that when I requite platelets I'one thousand supposed to keep the plaster on for around 4-6 hours IIRC, but that's a bigger needle. I'd give it a few hours just to be on the rubber side. As long as there was enough pressure put on it after the needle went out so there shouldn't have been besides much bleeding, and the plaster is just at that place every bit a safeguard.

As to taking it off without any pain or sting? Is it literally some gauze under a cast or is it a gummy plaster? If it'south a viscous plaster you could soak it off in the bath/shower. Otherwise only accept off the bandage and gauze and information technology shouldn't hurt tbh.

The hole is so small-scale that the chances of infection are very slim, as information technology'll start to heal over quickly!

I always just get a slice of cotton fiber wool to dab on it for a couple of minutes simply information technology'due south normally gone by the fourth dimension I leave and doesn't actually hurt anymore
