Can U Put A Draw 4 On A Draw 2
Uno Variation: Stacking Draw Cards
Rules
No, the official rules of Uno do not permit yous to stack Depict 2 cards or Draw iv cards. However, most serious Uno players allow rules for stacking draw cards in some course.
One of the nigh common variants people play with is stacking Describe 2 cards. When a player plays a Draw 2 card, the next role player can either describe 2 cards or play another Depict two card. If a Draw two menu is "stacked," the next player must describe 4 cards or play another Draw ii menu (causing the next actor to draw 6 cards), and so on.
Stacking can as well apply to Draw 4 cards, where a player can play some other Draw 4 to cause the next role player to describe 8 cards.
Although less common, some other variation allows Draw 2 cards to stack on Draw 4 cards and vice versa, which causes the card effects to abound much steeper (cartoon 12 cards is not uncommon).
Advantages
Stacking rules are common for a reason. They are extremely fun and they add an boosted strategic element to Uno every bit starting the chain of drawing cards tin backfire. This also tends to speed up games a piffling flake considering in that location is less back and forth of cartoon cards every bit the person with more Draw 2/Draw 4 cards tin can avoid drawing cards for longer.
Disadvantages
The simply disadvantage to this variation is that once a player draws a large number of cards (such as viii cards), they likely can showtime a new chain of cartoon cards. In the end, this tends to residuum the game more than than break it.
Review
I am surprised that Mattel has not officially adopted stacking rules into their official rules, at least equally a variation. These rules are so well-known and then well-used (for proficient reason) that they should be standard for any regular Uno player.
Additional Notes
- Across stacking draw cards, if you really like the delayed result machinery, yous tin also allow Skip and Reverse cards to be stacked on summit of a Depict ii or Draw four card. Both cards have their normal furnishings, but have the additional benefit of sending the draw 2 sequence to a different player. For example, in a four player game, if actor i played a Draw 2 card, player 2 could play a Skip card, which would then skip actor 3 and cause thespian 4 to depict 2 cards. Player 4 could and so extend the chain by playing a Reverse carte du jour, causing histrion iii to describe 2 cards.
